Zooming: Little One

From my Kawaii Zooming painting emerge some mini paintings depicting these happy friends getting together on Zoom! This artwork, to recap, was inspired by the Zoom meeting organized by my classmates from high school a month ago. I took that opportunity to integrate many of my whimsical animals and characters onto one paper and turn it into something cute. As I continued painting, I further realised that each of the characters also have a story to tell just as my classmates had over what’s been going on with their lives. What a great chance to get even more creative: First with the painting and then with the story-telling!

And this is the last of the Zooming series. Today I’m introducing last but not least, the organizer of the Zoom meeting… Little One! She is featured a lot in my work as my muse and inner child but would you like to know more about this sweet and cute yet adventurous and feisty character?

Born and raised in Japan, Little One now lives in Europe in a cute cozy house by the farm. She loves animals of all sorts, particularly kitties and bunnies. It is only recently that she began liking dogs, as she used to be afraid of them but not anymore! And she’s so fascinated by all the animals in her neighboring farm. Having been raised in a big city, though, she does miss the shopping sprees and hanging out with her little friends especially amid the pandemic. This however gives her the opportunity to develop her creative talents by designing outfits and funky costumes and making things for herself and her friends. And to bring her friends together, she figured why not organize a Zoom meeting? Great way to introduce them to one another. “Thanks for this meeting”, they mused, “I can’t wait till the pandemic subsides so we can all get together and meet and see each other in person!” Now that should be fun!
