From my Kawaii Zooming painting emerge some mini paintings depicting these happy friends getting together on Zoom! This artwork, to recap, was inspired by the Zoom meeting organized by my classmates from high school a month ago. I took that opportunity to integrate many of my whimsical animals and characters onto one paper and turn it into something cute. As I continued painting, I further realised that each of the characters also have a story to tell just as my classmates had over what’s been going on with their lives. What a great chance to get even more creative: First with the painting and then with the story-telling!

And who is this here? That’s LIttle One’s neighbour’s dog, Pebba! What a sweet little name. She was initially called Pebbles because of her grey fur but her owners found it cuter and more original to shorten it to Pebba. Despite preferring cats to dogs, Little One really likes this one because she’s adorable! Her neighbours are happy to let her dog-sit when they are away, and Little One likes to walk her in the park. All the passer-by’s stop by and comment how cute Pebba is. Some even point out that she resembles the grey version of that pair of French canine characters, Gaspard and Lisa! And so Little One once knitted a scarf for her just like what Gaspard and Lisa wear, except it is yellow. And today, Pebba decided to wear hers to the Zoom meeting! And she also wants to show her friends some Teddy-bear shaped artwork she made, one of them to be gifted to Little One in return for that pretty scarf. “You’ve got some hidden talents there, Pebba”, praised her friends.
