Valentine Pink

Early this year, I did a little experiment trying Gelli printing with Distress Oxide on black paper.  I did one in blue and named it L’Amour est Bleu.  Then I made one in pink as well but figured rather than blog about it, save it till Valentine’s.  Yes, Valentine’s Day is coming up this Thursday!  So I have been working on a few kawaii projects pertaining to this special day.  Anyway, here is the first of the series.

Here I used the square mini Gelli plate and rolled out the excess ink from the brayer on the paper as well.  A series of stamps were used too, as were some stencils in a variety of heart shapes.  I just went in a frenzy just adding one layer after another!  The Distressed Oxide on black paper is cool idea given, well obviously, the oxidized effect of the ink.  Looks so chic!
