🇯🇵 Creating another Nihonga watercolor painting at my Friday afternoon class! For this traditional Japanese craft, nature-derived pigments are used. Just completed the background using the Momigami method; cover the washi paper with a few layers of paint, let it dry then crumple it up to get this marbly effect. This is just the background but I love how it turned out so much that I had to share it here! 💙

💐 FAREWELL FLOWERS. It’s the third week of September already! Autumn should be here but as it’s been quite a warm month, I’ve hardly noticed any signs of the season approaching. And no wonder I'm still in the mood to paint flowers! So why don’t I just make the most of it then while it all lasts for 2021? Today, I’m sharing with you another floral painting, this time in digital form! 💗

🍂 TOGETHER IN AUTUMN. It’s been some time since I last made a proper colored pencil sketch. And when I opened my large sketchbook to begin, I was in for a surprise! Instead of a blank page appeared a drawing I had started a year ago and totally forgot about. It was such a cute sketch of me and my boyfriend walking together and looking forward to a cooler September. Glad I came across it then so I can continue where I left off! 💕

🐈 MOO MOO CAT. Whilst going for my morning run the other day, what did I come across along the farm field? A little cat! Funny thing is, we have a lot of cows near where we live, and this black and white cat’s fur resembled those cows! Well, I shall call them Moo Moo Cats, shall I? And what a great way to get inspired for a painting! Here I used pastels in pan, stick and pencil forms. 🐄

🇬🇧 Another section of my LONDON BUS painting! Remember those good old hop on and off Routemaster buses? Little One is off to Harrods for some fancy shopping daahling... or maybe off to the Savoy for some afternoon tea? ❤️

💜BYE BYE LAVENDER! We've been thinking of building a corner in our garden for growing herbs, starting with some Lavender this year! Then the last week of August marked the end of the season for it, the time to prune them so they will grow again next year. I kept myself busy the past weeks pulling out the flowers and packing them into small organza bags for home use. And now to bid farewell to the lavender season, I made a cute painting featuring Little One again, this time dressed for the theme! 💕
