Today we were over in Germany 🇩🇪 again watching and photographing again for another Polo tournament. This time it was outdoors on an open field as it normally is. Made a few sketches of course but as they are just preliminary they need to be further worked on before I share them…
But I have a cute drawing I did last week following last weekend’s matches. It is meant to be the third in the Trilogy from that weekend which I would have shared it earlier. Unfortunately we got a bit interrupted and distracted with other happenings during the week like that toothache and King’s Day!
After having sketched by pencil, I coloured in the drawing using sets of grey and brown scale artist’s coloured pencils. Koh-I-Noor makes excellent ones called Polycolor 12 which provide a range of tones (cool and warm) and shades.
These pencils are not too soft which means they will last a while but you need to layer over a few times to get a darker consistency. But am nevertheless pleased with the result. Perhaps I could blend a bit more especially the brown on the horse… but I hope you like the kawaii atmosphere it brings … 🤗
