So I’m back home now! And what a wonderful art retreat it was in Portugal. Within a span of a week, I felt I learned a lot, creatively developed loads and feeling so much more relaxed now. Even feel like a different person! I very much needed that. But it’s also wonderful to be home now. Especially I’m so happy to be with my partner again after a week apart. He went off skiing in Austria whilst I was on a painting retreat; we have our seperate lives yet are together in heart! I guess it’s good to spend some time apart and recharge our own batteries. And here a digital watercolor painting I had started before my Portugal departure and resumed on my return flight back to Amsterdam…
Although another Procreate piece, this is not part of Lisa Bardot’s tutorial but done with a set of watercolor brushes created by another artist, Abbie Nurse. There are 92 of them! The packet is further accompanied by her wide selection of customized watercolor canvases, color palettes and template stamps. Whilst this is the second painting with them, I’m still trying to figure out the ropes and need time to watch Abbie’s demo which I’m most curoius about. Not looking too bad though, I must say! It just takes trial and error and further practice. And of course, the whole point is the cuteness and how loving we look together, isn’t it?
