Halloween is coming up! Just a quick and fun watercolour painting I did last weekend. Totally unplanned. It started with just a pumpkin, and although I wasn’t sure what to add, I tried my luck with another pumpkin but a smaller one and in darker orange. Jack o’Lanterns actually. And what creeps into the background? A kawaii black kitty!
Here I used my favorite watercolour pans, the Kuretake Gansai Tanbi from Japan. I love them because they are made of natural minerals, making the colours strong and vibrant without looking artificial. Paper used was Strathmore’s Visual Journal for Watercolor (190 gsm). So much fun using watercolours again!
