Nara Deer

Greetings from Japan! Finally made it to Osaka, and today after a day at a tea plantation near Kyoto we made a quick tour around Nara, the former capital of Japan between 710 and 794 A.D.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the place as much as we had hoped for, but we know we will be back again soon. We also didn’t make it to the famous Nara Park known for its wild deers but… when we went to check out a few temples in town we came across a number of these little deers roaming around the area.

And of course tonight when I got to the hotel I proceeded in doing a brief sketch of them! It’s my first attempt so I must admit it’s really elementary. I couldn’t help making the eyes larger than life… they were too kawaii to not do!
