An attempt at sketching a close up of Kruiend Ijs (frozen sea waves) with my new dry pastels 🎨.
The other day I ordered a set each of Cretacolor’s Hard Pastels in grey and brown. They are great! Each come in 12 different shades. And they work brilliantly with black paper, making the colour stand out strongly.

I tried my best to sketch the kruiend ijs as exact as possible on a close up scale, but it just proved impossible. Rather than get frustrated, I thought if all else fails, make it an abstract piece! And it turned out to look rather cool, I must say! 😬. A definite wall space material.
