Oh look, Bunny and Teddy are in love! So cute together in their outfits too. Aren’t they adorable? Of course we need to paint about this. And now, a great chance for more practice in digital painting and having fun with the Procreate app! Recently I added more brushes to my collection, including a set called Pattern Brushes for Procreate available on Creative Market. And what an amazing variety! It comes with about 90 different brushes divided into categories such as Texture, Floral, Dotted, Stripes, Ornament and Abstract, along with additional brushes for Borders. And now, let’s put it to the test and create this kawaii piece!
First a Procreate Pencil sketch followed by coloring in with the Gouache brushes from the latest Procreate update. A separate layer was then assigned for each area to facilitate Clipping Mask when introducing the patterns later on. Once happy with the colors, I hid the pencil sketch outline. A series of patterns and textures were then incorporated. And what fun that was! So many brushes to choose from too. Tweaked a bit with the Blending Mode, and I was done!
