White Turf Event

And now we’re on a short break to Switzerland! Thought it would be fun once again to journalize our adventures with some kawaii doodling to keep my mind creative. Apart from some winter sports and enjoying the snow, another reason for this trip was to check out the White Turf Horse Event that my boyfriend was photographing for. An amazing and interesting event in which the horses race on snow in various forms like dragging carts, sleighs and even skiers! Unfortunately though the snow conditions got far too dangerous for the horses to run due to warmer temperatures so the interesting stuff got cancelled. I blame climate change for this!!

However, we took the opportunity to enjoy the sunny day and check out the sales booths of some expensive cars and private jet service just for a laugh. Amazing when you have so much money, but oh well, it’s theirs to spend as long as they are generous to the less fortunate too. Whilst my boyfriend was photographing what was left of the event like the crowds and some horses, I brought my Hello Kitty plushie along and had her pose everywhere and took photos with my phone: surrounded by the snow, sitting on the bonnet of luxury cars and the wing of a model private jet, chilling on lounge chairs and even peeking out of an empty champagne bucket! She totally enjoyed being the photo model of the day. After that, a rest back in the apartment before enjoying our dinner at a neighboring fish restaurant…
