💗 PINK QUIRKY OWL. Still in Hokkaido, Japan on our nature photography tour! One evening whilst in Rausu, we wanted to watch and photograph some owls 🦉. The area is known for its Blakistons Fish Owl, apparently one of the world’s largest species. We went to the observatory and waited and waited for a few hours 👀. Of course we knew this is all nature so it’s always a hit and miss. ♨️ HOT SPRINGS. Sharing my sixth and final mini painting from the More Than Simple series I created at the Paint Mojo workshop in Cambodia! 🎨 How interesting my perceptions change. Now that I'm in Hokkaido where temperature is -4°C I’m longing for warmth rather than suffering from it! 🔥 I think of the lovely hot springs, as the volcano spews out hot ashes around the surrounding blue water. 🌞 SOLAR ENERGY. As soon as I got back from the Paint Mojo workshop a few weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to start a new painting at home with all the fresh new ideas I had picked up! 🌈 Coming home also meant I have all my art supplies at hand so can really go full mixed media 🎨 . 🐟 FEEDING CATS. After days and weeks of painting abstract art, I decided to give my paint brushes a break and go back to the basics: Sketching! ✏️ And sketching something simple with graphite pencils. Our hotel in Cambodia had quite a few cats roaming around 🐈. One day at lunch, I was peacefully eating my shrimp fried rice, when a kawaii ginger kitten approached me and purred 🐱 Don’t feed the cats,” scolded my boyfriend.
