Hi there, I’m back now after three whole weeks! Never took such a long break before but I’ve been having some health concerns that needed attending to. Now trying to ease myself into getting creative again and catching up on writing whilst getting my physical self back in shape. Got lots to catch up on! For one, I wanted to to share here the digital version of a drawing I made weeks ago as outlined in my last blog Hello Kitty Snow Hat. It was mentioned there that I might come up with a digital version, right? And here it is!
All I did was import a photograph of the “blue print” original pencil sketch then color it in. While the basic brush was Medium Airbrush, quite an interesting range of texture brushes were experimented with as well. I was very keen to try out Eldar Zakirov’s Fur brushes for the Hello Kitty Hat as main highlight. And for the hair, I used Wet Smudgy Pen and Flowing Hair, both Procreate default brushes. Then for the background I went for more default brushes as well, Driven Snow and Wild Grass on a grey background. Look how cute it’s turned out to be! And wow, the textures look so real….
In my last blog, I did further mention that I would like to recreate this with acrylic paint. How about a soft pastel and Pan Pastel version instead? That will be my next project. Now, I need firstly work on getting in better health but I think going back to creative hobbies will definitely help improve it more!
