Boohoo! Looks like summer is officially over this year. It’s 15 September today, and I was hoping for an Indian Summer as we normally used to have the past few years, but with all the unpredictable rain and strong gusts of wind now and again, I’m afraid it’s not going to happen. But you never know. Hoping for some good omen with this cute and colorful floral painting I digitally created on Procreate the other day.

Here I randomly used a selection of Lisa Glantz Aqua Real brushes. These include round brush, rugged brush, wet blending brush, big washes and tiny sprays. Drops and stamps were also used as well. For each color of flower I experimented with a different brush and worked in layers. Also had a play around with light modes. It is not often, very seldom in fact, that I choose watercolor on Procreate, but I was in the mood for something different from my usual medium airbrush. Now why didn’t I discover this earlier? I just love this softer appearance, especially with the vivid colors. And here is hoping that this painting will brighten up the dreary days to come as the days shorten for autumn…
