I always have a pair of these Hello Kitty slide slippers lying inside the house by the door in the living room for access to our backyard. Not an expensive pair mind you but some Adidas imitation featuring Kitty’s face purchased on eBay from South Korea years ago. But last week, just the right foot of this pair mysteriously vanished! And bad enough it was gone but the more annoying was HOW? And why just one shoe and not both? No idea as we spent the entire week searchijg high and low around the house and the garden. Those sandals really meant a lot to me even if they were inexpensive! Eventually, I learned to accept the loss, although I did purchase a pair of pink Hello Kitty crocs to drown my sorrows. And typical: The lost sandal miraculously turns up!
And was I elated. Very happy happy happy! And thanks to my sweet lovely boyfriend. So what happened? He came home from the garage one afternoon with this big smile with that missing slipper in his hand. As it turned out, it got jumbled in with a pile of blankets he was tidying away which then ended up in a crate which in turn he was going to bring to the garage for storage! How hilarious is that. I think Hello Kitty felt a bit cold that day (although it was like 25°) and wanted to jump into the blanket to stay warm haha! So the case of the missing slipper solved. I’ll never let you go again, Hello Kitty! And now, how about a kawaii digital painting to commemorate our excitement?
