Sharing here the third part of my Cute Quartet mini painting series! This set was created during Tracy Verdugo’s art retreat in Montelparo, Italy last week. As outlined in my first blog for the series, Rabbit in Strawberry Moon, we were to create four mini paintings by firstly dividing a huge piece of paper into four equal parts with masking tape. Then we had to come up with a four-lettered word (!), paint each letter on each square and develop four different mini paintings as a fun way to practice abstract painting techniques and experiment with various mediums.

The Letter “T”
Seeing how each section in this quartet has its own story to tell, I thought it would be an idea to share them individually. And here we have another! One day, Little One was having a little wander around this tropical forest but felt a bit hot so she spotted a pink cave to cool down. “What a fascinating cave, very cute too!” she mused, especially as she entered, explored and emerged from another opening which was shaped like the head of a teddy bear. Still a bit hot outside, though, but luckily she found a bit of shade under a huge tree. From a distance is little lake where she can further cool off before heading home…

And what fun is this Cute Quartet project, all with their own interesting stories left to our imagination. One more coming up… So do watch this space!

What a fun project! I love the almost stenciled colors, the stripes and outlines — you are sooo creative!
