Cute Quartet: Cave Girl

Sharing here the second part of my Cute Quartet mini painting series! This set was created during Tracy Verdugo’s art retreat in Montelparo, Italy last week. As outlined in my last blog, Rabbit in Strawberry Moon, we were to create four mini paintings by firstly dividing a huge piece of paper into four equal parts with masking tape. Then we had to come up with a four-lettered word (!), paint each letter on each square and develop four different mini paintings as a fun way to practice abstract painting techniques and experiment with various mediums.

The Letter “U”

Seeing how each section has its own story to tell, I thought it would be an idea to share them individually! So where has Little One disappeared to? Oh there she is, in a cave! That cave is so special, in the form of a cat of course, how sweet. She is out in the tropics trying to cool off, and clever girl, she enters that cave. Look how strong the sun is shining; the heat is almost like being in a desert and hence that symbolic pink cactus. But she seems quite content hanging around in that cute and comfy cave. Once it cools down outside, she’ll eventually make her way home. Please stay safe!

What fun is this Cute Quartet project with their own interesting stories left to our imagination. More coming up… So do watch this space!
