In Japan again since last Thursday, a week ago, but things got so hectic as now here with my partner. Three nights in Tokyo, followed by three nights in Nikko and now back to Tokyo for 8 nights then to Osaka. Here in Japan for a total of three weeks. Together with travel, I’m also here for work and visiting family and friends so it’s going to be one action-packed holiday with appointments back-to-back. Hopefully I’ll be lucky to be able to squeeze in some time to get creative too!
But during our 13-hour direct flight from Amsterdam, I did grab a few moments before the meals to start doodling a bit on Procreate. And what else could I think about but a kawaii drawing of me and partner in the aircraft itself! Both of us glaring out the window of the airplane excitingly looking forward to our vacation in Japan. And seeing how he loves taking photos and videos of views out the window especially during take-off and landing, I had to include that too haha!
I’m so glad I began learning to use Procreate. Whilst traveling and not wanting to lug my art supplies around (but I did bring a small sketchbook and pen), it’s a good idea to just have my iPad handy. Great way to practice further and have a play around with all the brushes and tools. So happy with how this simple but cute drawing turned out. Maybe if I have some more time during my travels, I’ll churn out more kawaii stuff!
