New Washing Machine!

I know, what’s the big deal? You see, our washing machine died on us suddenly a few weeks ago as blogged about in Washing Machine Broken! Not the end of the world, of course, but a little lament over all the dirty laundry piling up but on the positive side, another excuse to get creative with some more drawing! Since then, we ordered an AEG ProSteam to replace the now-discontinued Siemens Sensofresh. A built-in steam function was preferred so our clothes could easily be freshened up when necessary without having to wash them too often and also when coats and jackets are being packed away for the season. Doesn’t come cheap but worth having. So now that we got our new machine installed last Thursday, why not get creative about it again and pair the two stories up?

The past few days were spent washing a “backlog” of stuff, and as you figured out, we are so far very happy with the new machine! Still need to get used to new buttons but it is all straight forward. Yesterday, the steam function was also put to the test, but I was a tad disappointed that unlike the case with Siemens Sensofresh, the clothes remained a bit damp and needed hanging to dry. Not to worry, we will quickly get used to that! Another handy addition is being able to operate the machine from our phone app which we have yet to figure out how it all works. And now, a kawaii creation on the adjacent page from the “Washing Machine Broken!” drawing! Similar mediums and method: Markers (Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens, Uni Posca and Molotow paint pens) Caran d’Ache Neocolor II for the faces and Ecoline Ink for the background. Happy washing for us!
