So we’re on a very short break to Switzerland via Germany taking my partner’s yellow Toyota Supra! First stopover was last night at this posh city in Germany called Baden-Baden. I had no idea what was special about it till I looked it up. It was renowned to be a health spa resort frequented by the French during the Belle Epoque period between 1870-1914. Unfortunately no spa for us as we arrived quite late in the afternoon, and to be honest our intention was only to find a bed to sleep en-route to Switzerland the next morning!
So a quick kawaii pen sketch in my small sketchbook. Introducing our road trip from the Netherlands to firstly Baden-Baden. As soon as we got to our hotel, which by the way was amazing, we dropped our stuff and had a bite to eat. Lovely food and fine dining. Baden-Baden is clean, safe and quite upmarket. A pity it was too warm at 35°C even in the evening so we didn’t feel like walking around much. But we’ll definitely be back. Spend a few days there. Who knows, maybe indulge in a luxurious spa day!
